Right of Access

The procedure to exercise your right of access will begin by making the corresponding request, which must permit having proof of the applicant’s identity, the information requested, the contact address for communication purposes and, where appropriate, the preferred method to access the requested information.

At the General Register of the Correos headquarters, located at Via Dublin, 7, 28070 Madrid, from Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All requests must include your full name; a photocopy of your personal ID or Passport or recognised electronic signature if the request is being sent by email; the requested information and your email address or postal address to receive the response.

If the reason for your request is to obtain information about our products, a specific delivery or if you would like to file a complaint or claim, you must use the form in the “Customer Service” section.

The personal data you provide in the request for access to public information will be processed by Sociedad Estatal Correos y Telégrafos, S.A., S.M.E (“Correos”), with CIF A-83052407 and registered office at Via Dublin No. 7 (Campo de las Naciones) 28070 Madrid (Spain), in order to manage, process and respond to your request for access to public information. The legal basis for the processing is Law 19/2013 and, in addition, your request. Additionally, based on our legitimate interest, we will use the data, segregated and/or anonymised to make reports of figures or statistics related to Correos Transparency Portal. The data may be communicated to third parties when there is a legal obligation to do so. Once your access request has been met, or when the processing of your data ceases to be necessary for the aforementioned purpose, Correos will proceed to block it and, subsequently, delete it. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation or portability by making a request to the postal address indicated above or to email address derechos.protecciondatos.correos@correos.com. You must attach a copy of your ID card. You may also file a claim with the AEPD.
